We can advise on all issue relating to maintenance, both in the context of separation or divorce, or as a stand-alone issue. There are in general terms are two types of maintenance:
- spousal maintenance i.e. payments from one spouse to another for the support and upkeep of the spouse personally. This can only be claimed by persons who are married to each other.
- Child maintenance i.e. payments by one parent to the other parent for the support and upkeep of a child or children. This can be claimed by any parent against the other parent, whether married or not.
